Reverend Tanner Cline graciously answered the call to assume the pastoral responsibilities at King's Cross Presbyterian Church. With a wealth of pastoral experience to his credit, Reverend Cline embarked upon his tenure by delivering his inaugural sermon at KCPC on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Tanner has been in ministry for over 25 years. He has served in a variety of capacities: senior pastor, associate pastor, youth minister, conference speaker, moderator of presbytery, after-school director, and a tobacco salesman.
Tanner graduated from Bluefield College (Bluefield, VA) in 2000 with a major in Religion & Philosophy and a minor in biblical languages. In 2006, Tanner received a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary (Charlotte, NC) and was ordained to the gospel ministry that same year by the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Currently, Tanner is pursuing his doctorate from Erskine Theological Seminary.
On a more personal note, Tanner and his wife, Jennifer, will celebrate 25 years of marriage in June 2025. Tanner enjoys spending time with Jennifer and their rescue dog (“Jack”), lifting weights, listening to 80’s Rock ‘n’ Roll, and discussing the multitude of life lessons one can glean from the movies Top Gun and Young Guns.
